All of us have an internal saboteur voice that gets in the way of us being the best we can be, that puts us down and tells us we can’t, won’t or shouldn’t do what we want. How many of us recognise that voice for what it is, take steps to minimize it’s damage and live guided by our values and strengths.
The focus so often in leadership development today is on ‘fixing’ and ‘plugging’ gaps which does nothing to nurture and encourage the unique and natural talents within each of us and can frequently leave many rising stars feeling inadequate or broken – hardly the best platform from which to secure leadership success.
Gail is a fantastic coach. She is a naturally warm and understanding person who always puts you at ease and enables you to be yourself and be honest. She’s also not afraid to challenge you and force you to bring the best out of yourself. Gail is a great reader of emotions and can always tell what you’re really thinking and feeling.
My coaching experience with Gail has been first class and very quickly she’s helped me overcome some of the mental hurdles that have always held me back. I’d thoroughly recommend her for anyone who feels they need some help getting the most out of life and finding out what will make them truly happy!
Having trained with the Coach Training Insitute my coaching practice is built on the principles of Co-Active Coaching where we believe that people are naturally creative, resourceful and whole. Who we are at work, at home, with friends and with the kids is all part of us, it’s impossible to separate one from the other – we are amazing and we all have the power within us to live and lead with confidence.
I’m passionate about making coaching accessible to people at all stages of their life and career rather than it being a preserve of executives from the boardroom who are typically at the height of their success. I’m confident that having access to the right coach earlier in my own career would have allowed me to get clarity on what was important to me, recognise where I was getting in my own way and to tackle the self limiting behaviour (and the stress and anxiety going with it) that has been a constant companion as I’ve climbed the career ladder.
I’ve learned that knowing what you truly want and making that happen is wholly different from achieving a set of objectives that have no heart and meaning to you. It’s certainly possible to achieve success and recognition without knowing your true purpose in life, I know because I’ve done it, but to know what you want and make that a reality not only gives you a sense of achievement but lights you up and feeds the soul.
Co-Active coaching has enabled me to get clarity on what’s important to me, to put strategies in place to combat my own self limiting behaviour and to make the life I want possible. In turn this has lead me to have the impact I want to have, make decisions with confidence and lead in an authentic way – I’m now helping other leaders do the same. Discover your own natural leader within and make your dreams a reality today – what are you waiting for?
